i have: three children of various sizes, shapes and hair colour. The ginger one is a terror.

i support: Leeds Utd football (they need all the support they can get), Yorkshire cricket, Denver Broncos american football and Inverness CT in Scotland.

places i’ve been as a result of press trips: Tokyo (World Cup final 02), Cairo and the pyramids, Jerusalem, Las Vegas, New York, Chicago (World Cup 94), Bilbao, Cologne, Amsterdam, Budapest, and a few places in Italy and France.

i have been: a software programmer, a technical writer, a photographers assistant as well as Editor of no fewer than 10 national magazines, plus contributor to many more including The Times Educational Supplement and the Sunday Telegraph.

i am: the author of 12 photography books, all published in the last 3 years (I write fast!). See the book page for all the details.

I’m reading: nothing, but i intent to pick up a copy of Anthony Beevors Crete to read next. Recently finished Angels & Demons/The Da Vinci Code, a double compendium hardback of Dan Brown’s bestsellers. The first was the better one, the Da Vinci Code was interesting, but ridiculous and a poor thriller. Just finished the Last Templar, a shameless police detective version of Da Vinci. As usual, ridiculous plotting.

My fave gadget: Is my Ipaq bluetooth PDA.
